Choose your drone below for an instant answer under the UK rules that apply from 1 January 2026. Weights and class marks come from each maker's published specifications.

How this lookup works

It combines each drone's published weight and class mark with the UK Civil Aviation Authority's Open category rules from 1 January 2026:

  • Flyer ID for anyone flying a drone of 100g or more.
  • Operator ID for drones of 100g or more with a camera (every drone listed here has one), held by an adult.
  • Where you can fly depends on the class mark, or on weight for drones without one. See class marks explained.

Weights can vary slightly between units and go up with larger batteries or accessories. If your drone is close to 100g or 250g, weigh it ready to fly.

This lookup is a guide, not legal advice. Always check the latest from the CAA before you fly.
